SWRC Race in San Antonio 5-6-06 and 5-07-06
What a weekend!! Full of excitement - Thursday
night in S.A. they had a hail storm and 100 mph
wind gusts! The track had to be dried and put
back together as the barriers had been moved by
the high winds and rain. We practiced all Friday
afternoon until Austin hit a barrier full of sand
bags! NOT GOOD - Austin was fine, but sand got
all into the motor and carberator. After Ryan was
able to clean it out - Austin got back out there
and practiced some more.
Friday night more bad weather and lots of rain.
Saturday morning was a bust - rain rain and more
rain. Finally by 2:00 the track was dried and put
back together. Getting a late start meant racing
late into the night. Austin was running very
competitive times and keeping up with the front
runners. He finished Saturday with a first place
in his class and a 3rd place overall. Sunday was
great- we got an early start and our driver was
back ready to go. Austin finished Sunday with a
1st place in his class and a 2nd place finish
overall. He hit more than a few barriers and bent
alot of equipment, but Ryan didn't skip a beat -
he got us up and running again before each race.
Thank you Ryan - I know we say it alot, but we
really appreciate all you do! Not too mention
Austin -thinks you are the coolest thing ever!!!
Grammy and Paw Paw made the drive to San Antonio
to watch their boy drive and we also got a visit
from David and Aunt Kathy - Thanks so much for
comming out and showing your support.
The fall SWRC series starts in September and we
are all looking forward to it.

those corners.Keep up the good work, Champ....
