Austin is 10 years old and is in 4th grade. He is a straight - A- student who enjoys many subjects in school. Math being his favorite! He also enjoys many sports including working out at the gym, football, golf, basketball, and tennis. He has excelled at each of them.
His passion though is RACING!!!!
Austin first started racing at 5 years old in the kid kart class at Gulf Coast Karters in Katy, Texas. His very first race ever, he came in 3rd place; thus aquiring his nickname "Leadfoot". Austin moved up from the kid karts class to the Tag Novice 60cc division and did extremely well. For his 8th birthday he received a Junior 80cc Intrepid kart, that he also ran during the 2007race year. In 2008 Austin droped the 60 Tag Novice class and began running in the HPV 1 class along with the 80 Jr Sportsman class. Instead of being intimidated by typically being one of the younger drivers; it has only provided Austin with even more of a challenge. When given a challenge, Austin seems to thrive on it and it brings out the very best in him. His determination to win, combined with his VERY competitive nature, and his driving skill, are sure to make this year just as exciting as the previous years.
Our family has made many lasting friendships with a lot of really great people who's friendships we cherish. Without them we would have great difficulty getting through some of the crazy race weekends that go along with this wild sport!!!
